Home Maintenance (HM)
Our HM teams, as usual, are fully booked servicing clients. The weather conditions over the past few months have resulted in rapid grass growth, which has meant an ongoing demand for HM services.
For those who are not aware, or did not see our COO’s email on 27th March, our funding has historically supported only three full-time HM teams. Sadly, we have had to make eight of our field staff redundant in order to meet the optimum staff-to-client ratio numbers based on our funding. As a result, we have been busy transitioning over 500 clients to another service provider that we have partnered with for this purpose. It’s great to see that LINK has found new gardeners for our former, but very valued, clients.
Domestic Assistance (DA)
Cleaning your home can be tough, even for those who are young and able-bodied. Our cleaners make sure our clients have a clean and safe space. Letting someone into your home for regular cleaning can be a big step, but once trust is built, clients enjoy both the service and the friendly chats. While cleaning is our main job, we also provide much-needed social interaction for those who may not see others often.
It has been heartening to see the continued high-level ratings and kind words from clients in relation to both the gardening and cleaning services.
