Major Milestone!!
The breaking news item from our last newsletter is now a reality. The Chinese Group, mentioned in February’s edition, experienced their first outing to Queenscliff on 30th March for 48 passengers. More to come in FY25 and FY26!!!
We have started advertising for Volunteer Hosts in the East as a result. If you know anyone who might be interested and also speaks Mandarin/Cantonese, please reach out to Cassandra Barrett (Volunteer Manager).
Carers News
Our second carers outing, in partnership with Barwon Health, took place on 27th March. Our guests enjoyed all the attractions at Werribee Zoo. Thanks to Shade Sovan and her volunteer hosts Shan, Roseanne, and Pauline for giving these carers a true respite, albeit for just a day.
Probus Groups
Probus Groups are also the flavour of the month with presentations to 3 Donvale linked clubs, and more in planning for clubs in Doreen, Glenroy, Fawkner and Pascoe Vale. They ALL want to go on outings with LINK!!! Word spreads very fast, as LINK eliminates the headaches from the various Social Committees who normally organise their own trips. Please contact Shade Sovan, our Social Support Program Coordinator, on 0438 000 749 if you know of other local Probus Groups that would possibly benefit from joining with LINK.
