Acting CEO Update
LINK finished the FY25 year with some solid results across all our service lines as we were also budgeting for a surplus of above $230k (subject to final audit).
FY26 has started well in all areas in July except Transport, which has continued to see many previous clients largely (70%) transferring to Home Care Package Providers (who have their own transport options)
- Initial investigation has also seen the remainder (30%) of our clients either no longer able to use or decrease their Transport due to ill health, cost of living, transferred to residential aged care
- Plans are in place to generate more Transport business/clients via approaching retirement villages and seniors’ groups to run small group transport for 10-20 clients between 10am-2pm
The big positive is that all involved with Outings have achieved hitting our increased Budget targets (i.e. to give you an idea, we roughly aimed for 2000 hours per month in FY25 and are now aiming for 3500 hours per month in FY26)
- More trips, more clients – all part of our strategy to support a business line that achieves the best margins for LINK which in turn strengthen our financial position for our future
Last newsletter, I highlighted our Team Leaders for their fantastic leadership and hard work. In this edition, I want to highlight all those under our leaders who work tirelessly to service our clients and support our field staff and volunteers
- Home Maintenance & Domestic Assistance: To Lina, Manik and Poojan you are in the office attending to all the gardening and cleaning clients’ needs. Well done.
- Transport: To Ashen, Romio and Bob thank you for guiding & supporting our drivers, servicing our vehicles (biggest asset after our People) but mostly being the lifeline to our clients to book in their transport needs
- Outings: Huge effort from Ruchira, Balqis and the returning Naomi together with all the students and volunteers

LINK received client feedback and the results ae fantastic with 93% rated 4 or 5 out of 5 (299 out of 321)!! The whole LINK team are absolutely loved by our clients.
