Business Development Update

A Month Full of Connection, Community & Growth!

September was a vibrant and eventful month for our Business Development (BDM) Team — filled with fun outings, inspiring community presentations, and meaningful connections across Melbourne!

Community Outreach & Presentations

Our team was busy spreading the word about LINK’s wonderful services across various community groups:

  • Happy Life Club (Chinese SSG Group, Eastern Suburbs):
Rina and Shade led a lively presentation to introduce LINK’s transport and outings programs. A big thank-you to our amazing students Rebecca and Chee, who provided fantastic support — answering client questions and distributing materials.
  • Ison Village, Werribee:
Shade and Rina showcased LINK’s group and individual transport services, encouraging residents to join our outings program and experience the joy of shared adventures.
  • Aunty Grace’s HCP Client Day (Reservoir RSL):
Shade represented LINK, presenting our wide range of transport, outings, and social support services to HCP clients — ensuring everyone knows how we can help them stay active and connected.

 Conferences & Collaboration

It’s been a month of learning and collaboration for the team!

  • Shade, alongside our team leaders, attended the National CHSP Conference — gaining valuable insights into the upcoming Support at Home reforms and future compliance requirements for CHSP providers.
  • Shade also represented LINK at the SSG Connect CHSP Conference, engaging with other service providers to share best practices, fresh ideas, and strategies to navigate upcoming changes.

Strengthening Community Partnerships

Our partnership with Chinese community groups in the Eastern Suburbs continues to thrive. Thanks to the multi-lingual skills of our superstar student Chee, Rina and Shade successfully collected new referral codes and strengthened our relationships with partner organisations.

Exciting News — Maribyrnong Bus Trips Return!

Listening to community feedback, we’re thrilled to announce the return of our popular Maribyrnong Day Trips!
Our talented student Rebecca Craig took the lead on this project — creating a brand-new brochure of activities and coordinating services that kicked off on 22nd September 2025. A huge congratulations to Rebecca for her initiative, dedication, and community spirit!

Transport Highlights

We were delighted to welcome new group clients such as Greensborough Probus, while continuing our strong relationships with long-time friends including FCCVI, Bev’s Seniors Group, Hope’s Chinese Group, and Hoppers Crossing Ladies Probus.
Word is spreading fast — LINK is now being recognised across the community for our reliable, friendly, and accessible group transport services.

 Outings Galore!

Our outings calendar stayed packed, with groups enjoying beautiful gardens, art galleries, homesteads, and lunches across Victoria. It’s always a joy to see our clients exploring, connecting, and making memories — keeping the BDM and Outings teams happily busy all month long!

A Big Thank You

To all our community partners, students, and team members — your enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment keep LINK’s mission alive. Together, we’re helping older Australians stay independent, connected, and on the move!
