Outings Update

Our outings for 2026 began with a delightful lunch at Stamford Park Homestead, setting a wonderful tone for the year ahead. Our cruises have been a major highlight, with trips across Ballarat, Lake Nagambie, the Hygeia Boat Cruise, and the Sorrento–Queenscliff route all proving to be favourites. Clients have absolutely loved being out on the ocean and lakes.

Another much‑loved experience was the Drysdale to Queenscliff train journey, where clients enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way and a relaxing lunch in Queenscliff.

A visit to the Blue Lotus Watergardens was another standout experience, with many clients returning home with beautiful plants. Rayners Fruit Orchard continues to be a much‑loved destination, with bags of fresh fruit enjoyed by all.

We also ventured to Old Gippstown Heritage Park, which was a fantastic day filled with history and charm. Many clients commented that a longer stay would have been wonderful, especially with staff dressed in clothing from the bygone era.

Another memorable outing was our visit to Nanna’s Place Mediterranean Restaurant, where clients enjoyed a delicious three‑course lunch featuring platters inspired by Malta, Italy, Greece, and Spain. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

We celebrated Chinese New Year with a Lunar Lunch at Olinda Tearooms, where clients enjoyed beautifully presented shared platters.

To finish the month, we visited Caldermeade Farm, where clients enjoyed a tractor ride and watched the cows being fed  a fun and engaging experience for everyone.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible outings team for the amazing effort they put in every day to make these trips happen. Your dedication, planning, and care ensure our clients have unforgettable experiences. A huge thank you as well to our outing hosts and volunteer drivers, whose early morning starts and late finishes make all this possible. Your commitment is truly appreciated.
